Theater Entrance
This is the roof of the entrance way to the AMC Theatres at Downtown Disney. Technically, Downtown Disney is located in Orange County, south of Los Angeles County.

The Huntington Library, Art Collection and Botanical Gardens has one of the most extensive botanical collections in the world, with nearly 120 acres and 15,000 kinds of plants from all over the world.

Decorative Agave

Cactus Pears
Cactus, a popular backyard/frontyard ornamental plant, can be colorful when "flowering" these pear-like flowers. These cactus pears are edible.

Sugar Cane
Sugar cane plants, even though a tropical plant, will thrive in South California because of the mild weather. All we had to do is add lots and lots of water. For more info on sugar cane, check out wikipedia.com.
The contradiction to the story is LA has gotten less than 3" of rain since July, 2006 (hence the Hollywood fire a couple of Fridays ago).
