Hollywood Fire
Last Friday, two Illinois teenagers accidentally set fire to the Hollywood hills that destroyed 150 acres of brushes and threatened the famed Hollywood sign and a corporate housing complex (see news report).

This photo of the hill where the fire started was taken this afternoon. The apartment complex where the teens stayed (and started the fire) is about 100 feet to the right of the photo. We were standing across the street from the hill where Warner Bros. studio is located. Behind this hill is the Hollywood sign. Two blocks to the right of the photo is Universal Studios.
And, no, we did not specifically go there to take this photo. We were at our client's office next door this afternoon and couldn't resist taking this photo for LA's DP!

What happened to the boys who started the fire?
Interesting photo. Shows what sad world we live in. Here in Toruń, Poland we also have problems with teenaged arsonists. I remember those hills when I visited Universal Studios back in 1995 and 1997! Greetings from Toruń DP!
The teenagers were released back to their parents and went back to Illinois with the understanding that they have to be back here in two months to face charges.
